A unit of the German air force sent by Hermann Goering in November 1936 to Spain, to support the forces of General Francisco Franco in the Spanish Civil War. In the air unit there were several squadrons of Junker-52 bombers and Heinkel-51 fighters. The Condor made some attacks, which caused a severe devastation and loss of life, especially in Almer'ia, Guernica and Barcelona.
